A student in Home Economics examines dresses in a class on clothing selection and construction. Fashion in the 60s didnt trickle down from Parisian designers. It was drawn from the street to the salon and then to stores where the over 30 crowd bought it with a designer label attached. Picture (150x219, 6.5Kb)

Contestants in the Miss Stevens Point Pageant wore a variety of the fashions of the period. Short and long hair styles were both popular and the ladylike look of the 50s was still evident. The second girl from the left wears a suit which had the Jackie Kennedy look. The flat collar lies far from the neck and the sleeves are length. Picture (150x95, 3.1Kb)
