Helen Piehl Lohr, 1933

    Helen Lohr graduated in 1933. She was awarded the UWSP Distinguished Alumna Award in 1977 and was probably the first home economics graduate to receive a Ph.D. From Wausau, Dr. Lohr taught in high schools in Mellon, St. Croix Falls, Prairie du Sac, the Antigo Vocational School and at Kansas University. She taught at Central Michigan University from 1957 until her retirement in 1972. She is now deceased.
