Annie Wetter

    Annie Wetter earned a Ph.D. in Nutrition at UW-Madison where she studied the effect of exercise and diet on type II diabetes, obesity and aging. She did a post-doctoral fellowship at Tufts University in Boston to study the relationship between lifestyle and health in college students. She joined the dietetics faculty in Fall 2001.

She continues to do research with The Tufts Longitudinal Health Study as she is interested in uncovering the factors that influences lifestyle choices in young adults and the relationship between lifestyle patterns and biomarkers of chronic disease risk. She is also interested in studying the influence of sports participation and weight training on body image, self-esteem, and self-efficacy among young women.
