Kathe Stumpf

    Kathe�s academic background includes an undergraduate degree in art, professional studies at the Louvre Museum and the Sorbonne in Paris, a master�s in interior design from Pratt Institute in New York and a Ph.D. in Architecture from UW-Milwaukee.

Kathe Stumpf

She has been on staff with design firms in New York City, Greensboro, North Carolina and Wisconsin where she did work with store planning and construction management for stores in regional shopping centers, and with office and residential design.

Kathe has held faculty appointments at UW-Madison and Northern Illinois University where she directed the interior design program.

Kathe�s interest in international design has influenced her to organize many study tours and international courses to such places as England, France, Belgium, Turkey, and Greece.

She has presented and written on designing learning spaces, international learning experiences, the design process in virtual space. She is active in historic preservation and many interior architecture professional associations. She has served as an accreditation evaluator for FIDER at five universities.
