Nisha Fernando

    A registered architect from Sri Lanka, Nisha Fernando is completing her Ph.D. in architecture at UW-Milwaukee and teaching full time at UWSP. Nisha has a special interest in teaching our students about environment- behavioral research and implications of such empirical data for design and evaluation. She is also interested in urban street design and public spaces. Nisha teaches survey of design: minority cultures in the U.S. and a special topics course. Nisha was hired in a faculty psotion fall 2002. Her hobbies include reading, jogging, hiking and bird watching.
