Jasia Chitharanjan

    Jasia Chitharanjan earned a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Nutrition Policy and a master�s in preventive medicine-epidemiology from UW- Madison, a master�s in nutrition and a bachelor�s in dietetics from UWSP. She joined the faculty in 1988 and serves as the program coordinator of the dietetics program.

She has worked as a dietician at St. Joseph�s hospital materials editor for the Journal of Nutrition Education. Serves as consulting nutritionist for the Wisconsin-Nicaragua Partners of the Americas and for the Portage County Department on Aging Nutrition Program and a collaborator for the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council.

Her research interests include household and maternal determinants of Vitamin A and iron in preschool children in Haiti.
